Hello and welcome to my website: I am Jules Maxine, and I am an independent civil celebrant, bringing joy and helping people celebrate love and life in all its forms. Based in Lowestoft, I travel across the United Kingdom and I write bespoke ceremonies for all occasions.
I love working with my couples and families to find out what makes them who they are, and people always say that my work as a celebrant is inclusive, passionate, authentic and genuine, and that it helps make a ceremony a moving and memorable event.
All my ceremonies are handwritten and original: Beautifully Bespoke to the people involved. I can cater to all spiritual or non-spiritual beliefs, and my work is completely inclusive, catering in particular to the LGBTQIA+ community.
Whether your ceremony is for a wedding, vow renewal, commitment ceremony, funeral, memorial, or a naming ceremony you can contact me to have a free consultation about the type of ceremony you would like.
I am not a humanist celebrant, I am independent, which means I can include religious rituals or not, if requested. Using an independent civil celebrant gives you the best of all worlds.
Having an independent celebrant enables you to make the ceremony more personal to yourselves, and allows you to bridge the gap between religious and secular ceremonies that is not available if you choose the traditional avenues.
As a professional civil celebrant, I can help make the whole ceremony bespoke to yourself, and help with a wide range of creative options to enable you to have a ceremony that is personal to you.
I LOVE to celebrate LOVE, in whatever forms it takes, I celebrate LOVE between couples of all genders, sizes and shapes. I celebrate LOVE of all nationalities, culture, race or religion.

I can help you write your vows and make suggestions on music, readings, poetry. Being a wedding celebrant in Suffolk, I can also develop and include mini ceremonies that will involve you and other members of the wedding party. For example if you are blending a family we can have a sand unity ceremony. If you would like to involve the whole congregation we could do a ring warming ceremony.
Really the world is your oyster, we can be as creative as you want.
As part of my work as a civil celebrant, we begin initially with a chat, talking about the kind of service it is (whether it is for a funeral, wedding, or something else), and finding out what kind of ceremony you would like to have. Part of my work as a celebrant is finding out what you like, and what your guests and family like too, and helping you to strike a balance making sure everyone's voice is heard, and ensuring everyone feels comfortable.
This is very much a 2-way conversation, finding out what you want, and how I can do that for you. Once we have a plan and ceremony in mind, then you can make an informed choice on whether to progress with me as your celebrant.
Every ceremony I write is written just for you and your family. I spend time getting to know you, so your ceremony is a true reflection of you as a couple or family.
The best way to get to know you is to listen. That way you and your family will remain at the centre of the ceremony. The day should be everything you have ever dreamed of.
I love to celebrate Love in all its forms. No-one should ever feel that their love should not be celebrated and it is really important that as unique humans we embrace difference and celebrate this to the max. Because Love is Love is Love!
My work is all about you as a couple and your family. You have complete control on content and I will work with you to develop a ceremony that people will talk about for years to come.
As a stand-up comedian and performer, I will ensure your ceremony will have its own sense of humour, but also have sincerity and authenticity.
I am proud that I offer empowerment to my families and support them to celebrate their love in creative and memory-making ways.
I am a civil celebrant based near Lowestoft, and I travel to ceremonies throughout Norfolk and Suffolk, and can travel further still if expenses are paid.
